Directions to Helette

Turn off the A64 Autoroute (Bayonne - Pau) at junction 3 towards Hasparren (D21), go past Hasparren for 12 Km and you arrive at Helette. Santa Maria is visible next to the church on your left.

From Biarritz Airport take the D932 towards Cambo and St Jean Pied de Port, turn towards Helette at Louhoasoa.After 9 Km you arrive at Helette, Turn right and then left into the village;

Flights: Biarritz airport is a 30 minute drive, Bordeaux,Toulouse,Pau,Lourdes and Bilbao are 2-3 hours drive;

Ferries: The closest channel ferry port is Portsmouth - St Malo (7 hrs drive, arrives at 8 Am so a relatively easy drive).

The Portsmouth- Bilbao ferry (30+ hrs ferry 2 1/2 hr drive) offers a strong chance of viewing whales and shoals of dolphins (sightings are announced on deck)
